Both the classic “Claude Gordon 468” and the ”Claude Gordon 470” bore size trumpets are now being produced in limited editions per year AND will feature the NAME “CLAUDE GORDON” on the LEADPIPE RATHER THAN STAMPED LETTERS ON THE RECEIVER.

*  A Word About The Claude Gordon Horn And The C G Mouthpieces

The "C G Personal" is a modified V-cup mouthpiece with a 22 drill. Claude Gordon believed this mouthpiece represented his finest achievement in mouthpiece design and would endure throughout the life of any brass player. For this reason Claude matched his "C G Personal" design for the trumpet, flugelhorn and cornet.

The CG-3 mouthpiece, an earlier Claude Gordon design, has a bowl cup and a 23 drill. (slightly smaller than the C G Personal) It too was considered by Claude to be one of his finer designs but is CURRENTLY made for the trumpet and bugle

The "Claude Gordon 470" considered by Claude to be his finest achievement in a trumpet design, was patterned after a pre World War Two, French Besson horn.

the classic "claude Gordon 468" was designed with the same aerodynamically correct tapers to make it play just as easy in a smaller bore size

Modern day references to the Claude Gordon Horn, such as "large bore", "extra large bore", "filling the horn", etc. are misleading and spring from the false notions derived when brass instruments became products of a budding commercial industry.

Competitive sales advertisements, riddled with gimmick slogans and catchy phrases, launched a barrage of misconception, that for decades have plagued the brass player with erroneous ideas and unproven theories about what makes a brass instrument work well and why.

The Claude Gordon designs are not new....however modified to balance with the natural force of aerodynamics in relation to wind control and wind power as produced by the human body, a true science often overlooked by the brass player.
